I always wanted to know what happened to Dahken Rael before he met Cor, and now I know.
What a harrowing back-story. Same thrilling writing from Martin Parece. If you have read the Cor Chronicles and know the world or Rumedia then pick this one up! Such a great prequel.
Now I need more from this author...hahaha.

I absolutely loved this book, it answered so many questions about Rael and his life and journeys. It was heartbreaking at times and very emotional when it came to the affairs of his marriage and son. Emotional to the point that I felt terrible for what he went through as though he were a friend of mine.
